Later in the month we rapped up our "Buddy Bear" collection. With the guidance of Channel 12's news anchor, Jeanne Blaylock, we were able to collect 387 new stuffed bears to be passed out to children and adults who are currently suffering through cancer, leukemia, and other diseases. Several of our own students were able to take home a special "Buddy Bear" for a parent or loved one battling a major illness.
Lastly, our students recognized our military veterans with a breakfast and presentation honoring each one's service to our country and its citizens. Our 4th grade drama club recited several narratives while our Colt Chorale sang their thanks to each of our visiting veterans.
We are very proud of our students here at Coppergate and hope they continue serving our community. Job well done Colts!!!
